Mahi Mahi Dewata provides fast boat service from Bali to Gili and from Bali to Lombok. Established in 2013 and run by a Balinese, Mahi Mahi Dewata maintains a fleet of speed boats, charter boats, and private boats that connect Pedang Bai with Lombok.

Boat Features and Facilities

Mahi Mahi Dewata maintains a team of 30 professionals who have relevant experiences in marine travel services and hold appropriate licenses as well. Each boat is designed with the capacity to accommodate 70 passengers and 5 crew members. The boats are run by 1250 HP Suzuki engines and they come equipped with comprehensive security systems that include VHF radio, GPS system and distress flares, life rafts with manual as well as hydrostatic release, fire extinguisher, SOLAS life jackets, throw rings, and radio beacon. The boats can assume a maximum speed of 45 knots with the maximum cruising speed varying between 30 and 35 knots. The boats feature well-maintained electric flush toilets and spacious sundecks that allow travelers to enjoy the views and the fresh air. The service provider also offers insurance coverages to the travelers.

The fast boat service offers hotel transfers in Bali as part of its packages. Guests are welcomed with tea/coffee before departure and are served with mineral water on-board. The operator maintains a private check-in facility at the Padang Bai harbor and the area features modern toilets and showers and offers restaurant services as well. The one-way rate for adults is RP. 650.000/person/ and for children, it is RP. 450.000/person.

Padang Bai to Gili Fast Boat Service: A Note on Schedules

Mahi Mahi Dewata offers pick-up and drop-off services to travelers living in Nusa Dua, Sanur, Seminyak, Ubud, Kuta, and Jimbaran. In fact, the operator adopts the quickest routes between Padang Bai and Lombok. The boats depart from Padang Bai at 9:30 am and head directly to Lombok, after which they connect to the Gili Islands covering Gili Trawangan and Gili Air.

The boats normally take 1.5 hours for Padang Bai to Lombok transfers, 30 minutes for Lombok to Gili Air transfers, 15 minutes for Gili Air to Gili Trawangan transfers, and 1.5 hours for Gili Trawangan and Padang Bai transfers.

People living in Legain, Padang Bai, Ubud Center, Kuta, Seminyak, and Sanur can avail the operator’s free pick-up and drop service.

Note: The operator has introduced its backup vessel Dewata II to facilitate transfers in its new route from Bali to Nusa Lembongan twice daily. It is a 30-minute transfer and the company offers free pickup services to travelers living in south Bali.
